met1981sfWhy do the two sets of legs run together? Wouldn't it be more efficient if each leg ran apart from the other three? A horse is the easiest on which to see this, but with a big cat, you can see that one paw will be slightly behind the one in front of it so that there are basically four pushes of power instead of two. Please, can someone who understands robotics correct me if I'm wrong?
